Last week we had a discussion about what the Shepard Function was, and how
an SF Generator module would work in a synthesizer.

The link below is to a page that has some QuickTime files as well as audio
files regarding the Shepard 'barberpole' illusion. The QuickTime files need
to be looped for the full effect. Also, I've heard much better  examples of
the barberpole effect, but if you've never heard it, this should help. Keep
in mind that the 'endless tone' is only one simple use of an SFG.
