I'm a big Vangelis fan, too, ever since "Cosmos" was on 20 years ago. My tastes in Vangelis have changed over the years, though. I was originally attracted to his music because a lot of it is very melodic. Now, some of his more "difficult" music I find a lot more interesting. Opera Sauvage is probably my favorite album. Albedo 0.39 has some great cuts on it, especially Nucleogenesis. "666", an album by the band he was in before he went solo, is a great prog-rock concept album, too.
