Yes, I think there is a need for MIDI clock output, which is why I suggested that the MOTM-650 have a MIDI clock out (since it has an hardware clock in). Any module with a pulse output can be used as a master clock. I use a Garfield Dr. Click, which I will sell when then VC Pulse Divider is available. The Dr. Click has can divide clocks and has a vast multitude of inputs and outputs. However, it takes up quite a bit of horizontal space, and I am trying to shrink my studio to a fraction of its size while retaining its full-sized power. You know, like Antman :) If I use MIDI as the master clock, I can run the Dr. Click off of the DIN or arppeggiator out of the Pro-4. This way I can run x0xboxes synced at different tempos without having to rewrite the patterns. The Dr. Click can also be used as a master clock or slaved to any sort of pulse clock -- DIN, drum triggers, 303 gates, MOTM-320, etc. Then I can use the DIN input of the 909 or the "tap" inputs of he PCM-80 to convert that to MIDI clock. Since I am keeping the 909, Pro-4 and PCM-80, I won't need the Dr. Click. Although I am thinking of getting two pulse dividers. Anyway, while the VC Pulse Divider can divide by 24, it cannot multiply by 24, so it cannot generate DIN clock from a 1ppq hardware clock. This is one reason why the MOTM-650 should have an output for MIDI clock. A DIN Sync24 output would be useful as well, but it's not as necessary since most people with such gear have some way converting MIDI clock to Sync24. Maybe someone could get a Stooge panel for that Blacet chip. I most frequently use my Pro-4, but admittedly, having a DIN Sync output is an extra feature that goes beyond MIDI-->CV conversion. Btw, how far up does VC Pulse Divider go?? Is it possible to design a VC pulse multiplier as well??
