I agree with this in principle. In practice, I've never had an intermittent Hosa, but I do take good care with them (no yanking by the wire). Curiously, I did have an intermitant .com cable, which I opend up and re-soldered. BTW, I've only had the Hosas for not quite two years. I can't speak to their longevity.
