Thanks for the link. I always appreciate any tips like this. I'll keep that in 
mind if Larry Hendry's suggested transducer doesn't work as needed. I'm about 
to buy a couple from All Electronics to find out. I've searched around and 
found that brand new violins (with case and accessories) can be bought for as 
little as about $60. So I'm going to give it a try.
