That is looking from the back, if the lugs are facing down.  The white wire
is left on 3, gray in the middle on 2, and orange is right on 1 (all looking
from the back).

Which lug is which?  Right and left are relative to how you are looking at
the pot.  Does anyone know what number corresponds to which wire?  The pots
have numbers for each lug.
