If you want nice rubber coated long-throw that is adjustable from seated to standing - Yamaha FC-7 gets my vote. If you want a cheap piece of crap short-throw plastic jobbies, get the Roland EV-5. Having shown my obvious bias, I did find that for snapping across the entire pot range a wah-wah type speed, the Roland was less tiresome to use. But for swells and anything that requires a bit of touch (like volume control in a live performance), the FC-7 is it for me. While the 850 can work with a variety of pedals, there were the two selected as most popular, and the resistors were sized for optimal operation on these size pots. I know similar issues have been discussed previously, but I am wondering what people's current suggestions are for pedals to connect to the '850. Thanks!
