In defense of Mouser, who I have done business with for quite some time, I've had only one shipment with missing parts. The poly bag containing the washers for my jacks was not included and when I called them on it, it was shipped immediately via priority post. On another occasion, however, I placed an order on a Saturday evening and was promised that the order would ship that day. Not being the most clever, I didn't realize that this was impossible. So imagine my surprise when I found a message from Mouser on my answering machine apologizing for the mix-up and giving me free shipping for that order because of the delay! I know that people have had problems with nearly every parts store. Our company deals with Digikey and Allied and many others. There are few times that Mouser has not had the lowest price of all. There are fewer times that Mouser has not had a part in stock and there is only ONE time that Mouser has screwed up my order(since 1976!!!). Given the onesy-twosy nature of my orders when prototyping, and my inability to deal with sales personel in a totally professional manner, I must say that Mouser has provided me with stellar service. In fact, I will gladly purchase ALL of my parts from them unless they do not carry a particular part. What is my point in this rant? Simple-find a supplier you enjoy dealing with and become a real customer. My choice of synth modules is MOTM by Synthesis Technology! My parts house is Mouser! Chub-satified customer and built to stay that way! --- In motm@yahoogroups.com, "Richard Brewster" <pugix@n...> wrote: > I don't remember about the shipping charge, but I did have a funny > happenstance with a Mouser back order.
