gents, lets end this thread quickly...cause we ALL know it could go on and on and on... Mac vs. PC... I have em both in all levels of OS... they all have some good and some bad quirks about each and everyone of them. Incidently... remember that Apple "cube" that flopped... did ya know they became Nintendo Game Cubes... !?!?!?! hehehehe...... Markk And you've made a good case for the Mac right there. The Mac is hardware and operating system from a single company. It's kind of like a console game machine in that aspect. I just don't think any large, buggy and burdensome operating system belongs in niche products like digital recorders. That should all be inhouse code, or at most, some small low level operating system to build ontop of. Game consoles haven't been running Microsoft code (until the Xbox), so I won't expect them to be bombing out all the time. All this computer mess is why if I can get a String synth engine written, it will be a hardware box only (and maybe a stripped down motm module version). No VST plug-ins that will generate a million tech help phone calls and no software pirating issues either. I may prefer the Mac over the PC, but I still hate all computers. -Elhardt
