So basically all that's going on here is 120 in sub mode with the SY2 as its only input. The thing that seems to make it interesting is the SY2's "tone bend," which appears to be an AD EG modulating the filters' cutoff. The input volume to the 120 sometimes has a big effect on things as well. The SY2 has an HP & LP with Yamaha's typically restrained resonance--I believe Crow used one to reverse engineer the 485. Though I haven't tried it, I'm guessing you might could do something similar with a 480 modulated by an 800 (or an Oakley little EG)--high resonance settings seem to help. I hope the effect isn't too ho hum for everybody--it's been keeping me entertained off and on for the past week, but perhaps I'm easily amused. Tom
