On a related note (haha) this may be self evident, but I often put the VCA before the (LP) filter such that the harmonics from the severed bass wave gets filtered out. If I put it after the filter the VCA will cut those low notes off too quickly (or out of phase) creating a nice, clean, sharp square wave with harmonics all the way up the spectrum. Paul, you did say "fast" right? ;) Anyone know how to setup a zero-crossing gate? Am I making sense? 2cents --mikes
