MOTM-730 quick specs

2005-04-17 by Paul Schreiber

The MOTM-730 is a 2U wide modules that requires the MOTM-950 6-pin power
interface (+5V/+-15V).

There are 2 types of outputs: divisior and stepped CV.

The divisor outputs are 0 to +5V "CMOS level", are are from panel switch
selectable to be either a 50% square wave or a 2.5ms fixed width pulse. In the
square wave mode, the input frequency can go up to 14Khz, while in the pulse
mode can go up to about 300Hz.

The stepped output is a 8-step rising sawtooth, whose step increment is 3-way
panel switch selectable as 4th, 5th or octaves.

The module has a set of fixed rated dividers and 1 variable divider, whose ratio
is the sum of a panel pot and an input CV (through panel attenuator). The
variable divider can go up to 32 (full) or 16 (1/2).

There is a panel switch that selects full divide or 1/2 divide ratios:

half full
/1 /2
/1.5 /3
/2 /4
/2.5 /5
/3 /6
/3.5 /7
/4 /8
/4.5 /9
/6 /12
/8 /16
/1../16 /2../32 variable out

The input jacks are:

CLOCK IN (+-5V tolerant, input switches at +0.75V input)
RUN/*STOP: with no input, the divers runs. When this input is LOW (less than
+0.75V) the divider resets all the outpts to 0V and remains there until the
input rises above +0.75V. So, this is a 'hard sync' input in a manner of
speaking.
CV IN: control voltage input for the variable divider output

There is a 3 digit, 0.56" high red LED display w/bezel that shous the variable
output divider ratio.
