Is there any reason why I cannot mount a MOTM-900 or MOTM-950 power
supply on the back of my 19" rack freeing up 3 spaces for modules on
the front of the rack?

The real question may be: will a power supply that is mounted on the
back and extending to the front of the case foul the synth mods that
are mounted on the front and extending towards the back of the case?
