the Akai ME25S note splitter allows 4-way double/splits based on midi note number. i have one and don't use it, so if anyone wants it let me know. an alternative, i think, but i'll have to check it, is the Roland PMC16 trigger-midi converter, which allows a different midi channel to be specified for each trigger input. my band has one, i'll dig out the manual and find out.
