Not exactly what your asking for, but a pre-amp/envelope follower will get you a modular-type trigger for envelope generators and a signal useable for spiking filters and VCAs. I used to make some monster analog drum sounds with a 2600 triggered from pads, drum machines and live or recorded acoustic drums. Blacet, Oakley, Synthesizers.com, Doepfer, Modcan, etc. have envelope follower modules, though not always referred to as such.
