a) Merry Christmas everyone! b) Over the last 3 years, my focus has been on *shipping* more than designing. However, the next 18 months will be a flip-flop: the focus is on getting new designs out (and then shipping). Now that I've exceed any and all expectations as far as making MOTM 'successful', I can relax (cough) and get more R&D time. I'm in the process of laying out the Frac version of the dual VCA core that is in the '130. The MOTM-190 uses a CA3280 which is of course hard to find. The MOTM-1190 (Frac) and MOTM-130 uses "standard" parts, just more of them :) The '1190 does not pan/fade, but it does include the output overdrive and dual lin/exp inputs. c) I've bought the ARM HW tools for the '600 uSeq (saving $$ for the SW which is around $2800) and after NAMM I'm going to redesign the '600 CPU card so the SW guys can get going. The ARM may be used in the '520 Cloud if I don't use the embedded MicroBlaze processor in the Xilinx FPGA (I paid the $$$ for the royalty). d) the Frac ADSR is also most of the core of the MOTM VC ADSR, so again that will be 'debugged' shortly. e) now that the kit backlog is virtually zero (all that remains are VCOs) the priorities can shift so that newer stuff can appear. Just remember, that I need to sell around 35 modules of a new thing to *break even* so when a new thing shows up, order away! Paul S.
