Time for another stooge update, I guess. Paul H is at home and recovering very slowly. He is still unable to work and the prognosis for a return date is uncertain. Paul's cousin Rick is now handling the family business that has been providing the manpower to support the stooge business. You may recall that on the weekend Larry died, we were discussing ending it all as it was just becoming more than we could handle. Another problem that hit us at the same time was that most of our vendors shut down, sold their companies, raised their prices, took a rocket ship to Mars, or some other @#$% thing. Paul's access to manpower and company infrastructure seemed to be the rescue that I needed to keep it all going after Larry passed. Unfortunately, Rick has all he can handle just stepping into Paul's CEO shoes of the family business. He has indicated to me that he can't spare time and manpower for Stooge Industries any more. So it is looking to me like it's time to wind it all down. Unless I can get Rick to agree to continue ordering and selling products that we DO have suppliers for, we will probably sell the remaining stock on hand and fold it up. I would love to do panels (and end caps) again, but people have become used to the brackets. I don't know if anyone would be interested in the one without the other, so I'm not feeling highly motivated to beat the bushes for a new panel vendor and a new bracket vendor and a new flat rail vendor, especially if I would have to go back to doing everything from my basement. I need to have a conversation with Rick to nail everything down for sure, then I'll have an official announcement for the list.
