Re: [motm] MOTM SYNTHS

Interesting statistics, indeed. 475 complete systems perhaps, that should keep me going for several years then :-)
then adding all the individual systems, that contain 1 or 2 modules... yes, I could be busy for a decade or so that way :-)

a) well, it depends on what you mean by "synths". If that is a VCO/VCF/EG/VCA, and that chain is 100% MOTM, then I would say a decent guess is about 475 systems.

b) I have shipped at least 1 module to (as of today) 634 *different* people. Of this number, over 100 are '1 and done', meaning they bought 3 or fewer modules and never ordered again.

c) there are several people that had large systems, sold them as individual modules that I'm sure spawned into several true "systems".

d) Isn't it odd that I am the *only* synth manufacturer that even 'admits' to their selling numbers?

How many MOTM synths, or synths containing partly MOTM are out there do you think?
With 7 or 8000 modules sold, it has to be at the very least, several hundred, if not about
1000 or so?
If that is the case, where are your pictures and stories guys? I'd love to post them on my blog,
and so far, haven't really heard from anyone, with a few exceptions, but I should be able to
run a different system at least 52 times, to fill a year?
send your pics and stories to motmsynth@... , thanks a lot everyone :-)
