hopefully you made it out to whwere you were going! 
we had heavy snow here ( d.c. area ) yesterday. at one of the local airports, 
they said 8" but as measured by yardstick in my front yard, 19". drift / dune 
on other side of yard ( where wind is worse) was 27".
