Jurgen was very kind to us. He was generous and patient. He answered my stupid and Will's not so stupid stupid questions with gentlemanly tolerance from the first time we corresponded regarding panels for his Tau Pipe module in June of 2007. Will and he corresponded - Will urging him to design a Vocoder. He touched our lives and we are better for it. We have shed tears today, but this salty currency can't reflect the value of Jurgen's friendship or the light of his spirit and truth. Out of the night time Into the misty blue Across the skyline I'll always see you I will see you I'll see you Sailing this river deep and true I will remember I'll always see you We wish you fair winds and following seas, Jurgen Haible. Me being "all thumbs" in electronics, I always admired how he combined his technical and musical skills with his desire to let everybody participate in his progresses. But more, I lose a friend who had been - together with his wife Birgit - in our church in Erlangen/Tennenlohe for a long time and with whom we shared many good hours. We had gotten out of sight for a couple of years, but "met" again only some weeks ago on Facebook. > > Our thoughts are with his family; his two cute children, Tassilo and Anais, aged 10 and 2, lost a loving father. > > > > NOTICE: This electronic mail message and its contents, including any attachments hereto (collectively, "this e-mail"), is hereby designated as "confidential and proprietary."
