Well, this won't help you get the sound into your computer. Ignore 
Paul so he can concentrate on getting his orders out. If you have a 
PC, go to http://www.syntrillium.com and download Cool Edit 2000. It 
is shareware, but it is perfectly useable in its "free" state. 
Registering is cheap and makes it a bit easier to use. Anyway, it's a 
wonderful stereo editor (with potential for multitracking with 
a "studio" plugin) that can encode and save to the MP3 format. It's 
like a cheap version of Sound Forge. Support is good as well, and 
it's rare that it can't detect your audio configuration from the 
moment you first start it. It's not my main audio app by far, but 
it's the most dependable. I have tons of respect for the folks who 
write it.
