RE: [motm] Rear-facing cord?

2000-04-12 by Tkacs, Ken

Paul, I know this complicates your life, but is there any chance you could
continue to offer the 900 power supply (maybe 901 with new 16-point breakout
board) and still offer a new, rear-cord design with slimmer front panel for
cabinet folks (902, 910, whatever)?

hello all,

moving the ac line to the rear of the power unit might cause a problem for
those of us who mount our power unit on the rear anyway
an enclosure would be a welcome addition i suppose for us Euro types
on a small SKB based modular a front mounted supply / rear facing cord is
the only sensible option - apart from... ...external PSU with +/-15v cord
to a 1u panel with the distro board mounted behind it

while we're on the subject of PSUs - does this mean the stock of old
supplies is running out..? cos i'm about three modules away from the end of
my first cabinet - and new cabinet means new supply (reply to this bit
privately paul, as might might conjoure up a bit of an order on the side...)

cheers
paul b
