since its kind of quiet i thought i might be able to stir things
up a bit. i don't know if i'm correct but i saw online some where
that the Mark Vail book "Vintage Synthesizers" was out of print (if
i'm wrong just verbally abuse me into reality). and then at work
(barnes and noble) they told me that it was out of print and to
reorder it in a month. so i did and it came in today but i haven't
had a chance to really look it over. is this a reprint, or original?
also i went to a swap meet this weekend and found a $2 speak
and spell (yea TI) and the close encounters of the 3rd kind original
sound track. i payed a buck for it (its even in perfect condition)
and i thought i'd get to hear the conversation (arp <--> spaceship),
but instead its done orchestrally (= no arp). the cool thing is,
tucked away in the record jacket was a single version of the theme.
which is kind of a funk thing based around the 5 notes + more.
does anybody know anything about this recording (musicians,
places it's been used, price, etc.) anyway i hope you stayed awake
long enough to read this far.
                                     later, elliott %^)

ps- JH about the pedal experimentation, i need to build more motm
first. thanks for your help!
