The Mark Vail book has gone through a revision. The new version is the 2nd edition.
It is a good bit fatter than the first. Check the front cover, it should say
"Second Edition, Updated and Expanded" in the upper right corner. I ordered mine
through Amazon.com in March but it only arrived a week or so ago. It is certainly
updated and includes a reference to MOTM and Synthesis Technology in the back!
(How's that for making this on-topic!)

Of course, it also includes some pricing info which is out of date before it is even
printed. There is more stuff and a few errors still (he hasn't figured out the
difference between a Roland System 100 and a Roland System 100M but that is
partially Roland's fault in the first place.)
