Well, the list was quiet... I've been sitting here reading the daily digests of these proceedings for about a month and figured it's time I put in my two cents worth... To Doug P.; thanks for setting me straight on Wiard, but especially for the info on Blacet Research (and now I see Mr. Blacet himself is on the list. This group gets more interesting by the minute). I've been hanging my MOTMs in a 8U rack and wondered what I was going to put in the other 3 spaces (a MOTM PS mounted sideways, perhaps?). The noise module looks particularly kinky... To John B.; I'm going to get those CD's too. May I also suggest John Cage's "Indeterminancy" (Smithsonian/Folkways SF40804/5), a 2-CD set. It's a 90 min. lecture made up of 90 stories with a zen slant. The long stories are spoken rapidly, while the short ones are drawn out, all the while David Tudor is banging on a prepared piano and twiddling a short wave radio. One of MY favorite party albums, but then, I have weird parties. To whom it may concern; the '410 is indeed cool! It takes practice to tweak the thing the way you want, just like learning an instrument. I'm running a guitar thru the preamp on my old, dusted-off Aries to the '410. Try modulating the Rate w/ '320 sine whose shape is modulated with slow noise. Yeah, baby! To Paul S.; how's this for begging: "If I don't see my kits soon, I may be forced to take a vacation!" to be continued, Chuck
