Thanks for the good words! The whole web site has taken me forever to put
together. I first created it in 1995 in notepad---your typical, ugly, 50%
gray background, everything centered web page. I knew nothing about the web
then and just needed a page to which I could direct inquires about that
radio play.

Only recently have I decided to overhaul it, the modular being the main
inspiration. Considering that I do web stuff for a living now, the old site
was getting embarrassing. I will add more to the detailed essays on building
my synthesizer as I complete things. In the meantime, Mr. Hendry has raced
way past me and completed his conversions, and they look excellent!

I too already have a Blacet DSC, and haven't even finished adapting it to
the new panel, but I'm tempted to grab another with the deal he's just
offered, if nothing else just to support the concept of offering the boards
& parts separately so that we can adapt them to the bigger form factor.

Part of what's holding me back on finishing that web page of the conversion
process is that my modules are just lying all over the house waiting for me
to build a cabinet for them (need those rails...!). I bought a table saw and
a drill press a few weeks ago almost exclusively for synthesizer building
(the story of how I got that past the wife may be the stuff of another web
essay), but it turns out that they require assembly too! Arghh!!

On top of all that, work has been a real joy with these virus attacks, my
in-laws just moved in with me for two months while they look for a house in
Connecticut, and my friends are all over me like gnats begging me to brew
some more beer for the summer. So I'm a little behind on my synth. But I'll
definitely share any experiences/photos on that web page as I make progress
on the modules and the cabinet.

I keep revising my cabinet ideas, too. Now I'm thinking about a three module
high/12u-wide modular cabinet with the bottom two rows slanted 70 degrees.
Designed in such away that similar cabinets can be put side-by-side, or
clamped upside-down on top of a row of these in such a way that it creates
that "space capsule" arc and doesn't show any wood between the top and
bottom cabinets.

I dunno. I draw all this stuff up, but there's a voice in the back of my
head yelling "Just nail four boards together and get this thing *going*,
will ya!?"
