Maybe Juergen can answer this since Paul is away and the diy list is full of 
guitar talk. 

The only lag processor module I've used a lot is the ("here he goes again") 
Serge DSG. That module has some VC features (less than the MOTM I should add) 
but doesn't have VC "shape" (i.e., linear/expo) either. In fact the output of 
the module is linear unless you patch the module output into the VC input. By 
turning the reversing attenuator you can get curves from log to linear to 
exponential. 

(I believe it is this internal patching of modules which can lead one to 
think of the Serge as being a mysterious and difficult instrument) What I'm 
wondering is if the curve shape control of the MOTM 820 does something like 
this (output to VC input)? If so, can this be done externally (i.e., patch 
the output to the VC input) through a VCA to allow VC curve shape control?

BTW, I don't really think VC curve shape is that big of deal -- while being 
nice to have, I'm not at the moment sure how I'd use it.
