RE: [motm] Python & Varese

2000-05-16 by Tkacs, Ken

Okay, I just ordered four more boxed sets of the Python DVDs so that I can
check this out.

I do remember some heavy, cool organ music in that sketch, especially when
the giant electric penguin attacked Scott.

>(Okay, before you start looking it up on the imdb, I *am* kidding.)

Didn't Virgil Thompson (a distant relative of Hunter S. possibly) do the
score for "Scott of the Antarctic" -- only half joking here, there are two
reasons I ask:

1) it just sounds SO MUCH more believable than Varese and
2) I think "Scott ...." actually had opening credits, and possibly VT is in
fact credited for the music (very hazy memory here) which of course would
lead me to one.

Gotta check this out!

consumers of Varese and Python) Barlow
