I just finished my second MOTM-800 EG... When I set
the knobs to the same position on each EG they behaved identical... I was
expecting a slight variance but there was none so now I'm impressed!!! This
brings my little system to a 900, 300, 420 and 2 800's with a 110 on order
(can't wait to try the ring mod!!!).. The hard (fun) part now is to decide which
module to do next!!!
P.S. There's a recent release for the U.S. by
the Anubian Lights (a Nik Turner, from Hawkwind, project) called 'Let not the
Flame Die Out'... It has a lot of analog stuff... Sound samples are at

used the same patterns as he did, but I sent the tom directly into the
MOTM-110 ring modulator, along with a MOTM-300 in the "Y" input. I modulated
the oscillator various ways, and I got the most wonderful sound out of
there. I'm really, really glad I got such a good sound out of it. I was
beginning to wonder...
So if you haven't gotten good use out of the ring mod yet and wish to do so,
crank those inputs!
If you want to hear it, the URL's below. It's called "OSvNS" and the ring
mod comes in around half-way. It's pretty distinctive.
