SF MOTM group

2000-06-06 by Brousseau, Paul E (Paul)

Personally, I had a blast. It was great meeting Paul S. in person, the
entire group was interesting and open, and I confirmed that I don't know
jack about synth trivia!

Chris MacDonald (sp?) shows off his impressive MiniModular kit, (I am
horrible with names) someone brought in a Wiard / MOTM SKB case setup and
someone else brought in a rare synth that I don't remember the name of (but
it was serial number 6).

I unfortunately missed the synth-show-off at Andy's abode. Early morning
work is lame.

As an aside, I was talking with someone (hey, there's that name-memory
failure again!) about tube components, and I couldn't remember the company
in the SF bay area that does tube modules. I was able to look up the info
this morning. The guy's name is Eric, and he runs Metasonix
(http://www.metasonix.com) in Redwood City and sometimes participates in
SynthDIY discussions. His line currently includes the PT-1 Phattytron tube
synth and the TS-21 Hellfire Modulator (a combo pre-amp and waveshaper).
This is someone who should be invited to the next SF MOTM meeting to give a
demo and/or talk, hint hint! ;)

--PBr, who recently had major sections of his brain replaced with swiss
cheese.
