Many people on this list, myself included, have gotten excellent prices & service from Wacky Kovacky. You might try there: http://www.wackykovacy.com/ Mr. K will make cables to your specifications with color-coded heat-shrink strain reliefs. Sometimes he even puts fun little items in the shipping cartons. I've made cables in the past and found it to be a whole lotta No Fun. So for what he's asking, I buy from him. I love DIY, but I have to pick my battles these days! ;) -----Original Message----- From: Andy Miller [mailto:andy@...] Sent: Monday, 31 July, 2000 4:43 PM To: motm@egroups.com Subject: [motm] Patch cord help Ok, well I have my soldering iron, my heat gun, and even my Panavise. I have modules coming in and solder is flying. What I do not have is patch cords. I visited the local music store and they can get expensive. I would like to assemble my own patch cords and I want quality coax and plugs. What brand of 1/4 inch plugs should I use and what brand and size of coax? Should I even assemble my own? I assume that it is cheaper to do so. Are there manufactured patch cords that are high quality that are recommended? Opinions please. Thanks Andy
