I started playing around today with an idea I have had for awhile. I used the internal signal generator in Protools to record a square wave on a track. I then edited it down to one blip of positive cycle. I then output this to my 800 EG Trigger in feeding the 110 VCA with a 300 as input. Now I can create various patterns in tempo within Protools and sequence my system! By adding the CV out of my Roland 180 keyboard to the 300 1V/Oct I can play sequenced bass lines or melody. For those like myself who don't have an analog sequencer yet, (waiting for the MOTM one) it is an excellent trick. I seem to be staying far away from MIDI these days and loving it. As Thomas mentioned in an earlier post, there is something quite special about a CV keyboard.
