Is this the old Curtis applications document? I have the (only) 2 issues around somewhere. Actually, I'm first going to offer a Korg PS-3100 type that uses Vactrols as the control element. This is the Jean-Michael Jarre effect. I love filters! Pathetic Moog modulars had only 2 to choose from. The "Variable Filter Bank" is about as exciting as a $79 Rane EQ. I also want to do a vocal formant filter bank. These were well-documented in the early '70s, but were "un-buildable" because 1% resistors and 1% capacitors were soo expensive, and the op amps had insufficient GB products for high Q (>75, say) and not move the Fc around. On another bandpass note : I'm very intrigued about the variable bandpass described in the Synthesource newsletter . Variable bandwith, variable centerfreq, and two vc resonance peaks ... hmm . Would that be part of your line of thinking ? Take care . Keep 'em oscillating :) Hugo = ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Have you seen our new web site? http://www.onelist.com
