I don't know if these links still work, but try them for more info: http://jaguar.ccsr.uiuc.edu/people/gmk/papers/ieee/ieee52da.hmtl http://jaguar.ccsr.uiuc.edu/people/gmk/papers/ieee/ieee52da/section3_11.html http://complex.ccsr.uiuc.edu/people/gmk/projects/chuasoundmusic/chuabifdiag. html Also search on "oscillateur chaotique" for a schematic (in French) of a simple VC Chua circuit. I don't have the URL because I printed it via Babelfish. IBM researchers did some work on the odd effects of coupling these circuits... kinda mixing a little Theremin-like technology into the chaos. Look for a paper called "Synchronization in Arrays of Chaotic Circuits Coupled via Dynamic Coupling Elements." There are companies who are supposedly making a chip version of these oscillators because Chaos is being studied for cryptological purposes. I don't know what they cost or if they can be adapted for audio (or if it's even worth it since the circuitry is so minimal). A lot of this can sound like greek if you haven't been exposed to a little Chaos in your life (read James Gleick's (sp?) book). Also search for a paper by Michael Peter Kennedy called "Robust Op Amp Realization of Chua's Circuit" PS: I was told by an Asian friend that "Chua" is pronounced "Koo" but I don't know that for a fact.
