Sorry Weld, inside joke. We had raging discussions for months about a 
year ago debating the mixer. Us old timers on the list are exhausted 
from mixer discussions. We groan anytime somebody brings it up again 
now.

The upshot was, we agreed that a 2U mixer capable of dual 3x1 and 
single 6x1 operation was the basic way to go. Then we argued 
exhaustively about which controls would be nonoperational in which 
mode, hence confusing to the user.

My proposal to have a telescoping retracting knob was one of the 
silly extremes to which the discussion went!
