Smaller than what?  One could build one of those sync-24 circuits and get 24
pulses per measure and then divide down from there.  I bought a couple of
the chips from J Blacet but have not messed with it yet.  With my MOTMized
Blacet, I sould be able to get 24, 18, 12, 8, 6, 3, per measure.
