I am thankful of course for the existence, proximity, and health of my
beautiful wife and children.

For living in a society whose members are free of body and mind (under most
reasonable modern definitions) [in other words, they may still be enslaved
by "top-40" mentality, but I understand and forgive].

I am thankful for the cleverness of my kind; creatures who take the dust of
the stars, study it, separate it, divine its implicit secrets, and apply it
to their needs and whims... exploiting it to better their chances of
survival and to manipulate the abstractions of its properties to create and
advance a culture for my kind---past, present, and future.

I am thankful to those who labor valiantly, often without recompense in  the
gold or glory they deserve, to create and explore the intricate tributaries
of my culture.

I am thankful to those who take the electrical gift of Prometheus and apply
it the muses.

To those who hammer out and adhere to the standards of an electronic music
culture, and make it available to all of us.

And to those who extract the essence of the Juniper, who chill it, and pour
it over ice and olive, to create a more agreeable way of life for us all who
know us.
