Someone last year posted a link to a recent review with Tomita, who as I remember was a bit surprised that anyone still cared about modulars when asked if “Sound Creature” would ever be re-released. But once reminded of the modular, he seemed to wax poetic about how that modular was the only instrument that offered him the ability to ‘find his sound.’ I’m kind of paraphrasing from memory on that one.
The last thing I believe he released in the US was “Canon of the Three Stars” (that was the US name…different Japan title). Then he did “Bach fantasy” which never made it here, plus the others I mentioned. It’s like pulling teeth getting any of his stuff these days, except for the 3,227th re-release of “Snowflakes.”
But on Canon, he was still using the Moog a tiny bit I think, but mostly moving over to the digital synth. I miss the old sounds. I wish he would do an “old style” album, another “Planets.”
There are several web sites that list his module compliment at any point in time.

Thanks! (I half expected it to be "Storm from the East," meaning
there were
less albums than I thought! :) )
