erm actually, if i remember correctly the term used in the adv-midi bumf is
"trigger" which would explain a lot, i'm kind of hoping i could use a lag
processor to stretch the trigger a little, or use my expertise to build a
little trigger to gate converter (conjure up images of infinite numbers of
chimps with typwriters here)
at least i soldered all the pins on the main ic this time...
