If this system II is original from the factory circa 1970, wouldn't all the
modules have the same markings? I don't claim to be a moog expert by far,
but i thought the most modern moog logo (like on the VCO's) wasn't in use
until 1972 (I could, and probably am, wrong) -Nate

It is not a system II and it doesn't have a consistent set of modules. It is
roughly a IIp made from mish-mash of modules. It doesn't have a fixed filter bank
and has a mix of "R.A. Moog" and "Moog" modules. It may have been that the original
901 oscillators were replaced with 921's which would account for the funky blank
panel to the right of the 921. The seller has relisted it at the same price... I
wish him luck, that is a seriously high price for such a system!

There can be minor differences with the modulars. They thought nothing
of making you up a custom blivit or mod on a perfboars and abeling it
with a Dymo gun. They would also recycle trade ins or returns and if
you wanted your stuff in a timely fashion, you would take it, it would
work great. Moog modulars and the people who built and repaired them
did live up to their legend.
