Everything

Everything

Just stumbled across this site: http://www.everything2.com/

Only spent 30 minutes but it's very cool - thousands of interrelated
discussions. Start w/ one thing you're interested in - find 10 more
things.

What's this have to do w/ MOTM? Oh, yeah... Someone started a MOTM
node there: http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?
node_id=895964&lastnode_id=559301

Start from there and see where it takes you.

See ya.

heh, so somebody else on this list does read the site (I wrote the first
MOTM node).

Cutting and pasting URLs containing "lastnode_id" arguments will confuse
the database's softlink maintainer (it keeps track of which nodes are
visited after which other ones to create links between nodes which
correspond to the paths people actually follow when reading). It is
better to load up the root page http://www.everything2.com/ and type
'MOTM' into the search box at the top.

I don't think there are that many synth enthusiasts on E2 right now so
more writeups are welcome. If you don't want to create an account you can
log in as "everyone" with password "everyone" but I think "everyone"
writeups are edited more severely. Plus who wouldn't want their name on
their writeups? :)

Beware that E2 is the web's single best time waster, bar none.

peace, Chris Jeris

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
