MOTM Whistle patch ?

2001-08-21 by John Speth

I haven't done a whistle patch with MOTM but I have done it with a prophet 5 and you should expect to get the same results with an MOTM.

It's very straightforward. Take your VCF and put the resonance to just past oscillation. Use your kb cv to drive the pitch of the VCF. The less than perfect pitch of the VCF tuning adds to the realism. I think the key to the patch is adding a tiny bit of portamento and the just the right VCA (VCF output to VCA input). The VCA is the part I spent a long time tweaking, by far. You can also add a little vibrato to the VCF for extra effect.

If you have 2 VCFs, you can double the voice for 2 whistlers.
