Moog filter samples

2001-08-25 by jhaible@t-online.de

I put some samples of my version of the Moog filter online:

http://www.oldcrows.net/~jhaible/mp3/jh_double_moog_1.wav
1.49 MB

http://www.oldcrows.net/~jhaible/mp3/jh_double_moog_2.wav
1.10 MB

http://www.oldcrows.net/~jhaible/mp3/jh_double_moog_3.wav
1.49 MB

http://www.oldcrows.net/~jhaible/mp3/jh_double_moog_4.wav
1.14 MB

http://www.oldcrows.net/~jhaible/mp3/jh_double_moog_5.wav
1.16 MB

http://www.oldcrows.net/~jhaible/mp3/jh_double_moog_7.mp3
79.5 kB

Encoding the raw filter sound with mp3 ruined everything, so
I decided for shorter samples and wav's. There is one mp3
as well - sounds with reverb, where the difference
is not that large.

Configuration for all samples:

3 detuned VCOs -> "Moog"-Filter -> VCS3-VCA (that's where the noise
comes in) -> a little ambience from the QRS.

I'll second that! I'd even go as far as to say I wouldn't know the
difference between that and the real thing! Ummm, ummmm, DELICIOUS!!

Thanks - most of these other mp3's are samples from my CDs.
They are linked to my debitel homepage - The Old Crow was so
friendly to give me some extra webspace for the samples. The
entry pages for the CDs (with descriptions which instruments
are used) are here:

I have both of JH's CDs in regular play rotation at home. The ultimate in
DIY synth building and recording.
I am not worthy.

Everyone should get these!!!!

Hmmmmm, again I find myself agreeing with Paul about music. I have both
of JH's and they are excellent! As Paul mentioned, I've been impressed
with JH's start (DIY synth) to finish (CD) abilities.

Same here! Both of the CDs are highly recommended. Great sounds, great
recording!
