Wacky Kovacky Cables

Just picked up some cables from Wacky (John) Kovacky and was impressed enough to toss out a shameless plug. 847-366-0292 The cables are very nicely done. He uses Switchcraft connectors, 3M heatshrink, and good quality (durable) wire. For the time being, he lives very close to my place so I got to see his operation last night when I picked up 60 cables. He buys the wire on 2000' spools, connectors by the thousands, and 500' or 1000' reels of heatshrink. He tests each cable made and then heat-seals the bags with 5 cables per bag. Very professional. I measured the capacitance on a 10' cable and it would appear to be a hair under 39 picofarads per foot (388.1 pf on a 10' length) which seems fairly typical for pro, unbalanced lines. He also has done snakes, XLR patch panels, and just about everything one would find in a studio or gigging setup. I am very satisfied with the quality. I chose combinations of cable and shrink colors to more easily identify the cables by length. He can do almost any number of cables you'd want and deliver them a lot faster than you could probably do yourself. Highly recommended. Cheers! Tom Farrand
