I seem to have confused a lot of people about "pointer knobs" - see
the explanation below:

Jim,

They are the exact same knobs used on the MiniMoog VCO octave
switches. Synth.com is also using them on their modular VCOs. Looks
like Bob Moog is using them on the new MiniMoog Voyager as well.

When you have a rotary switch on a module, a pointer knob is often
preferred by many people. It gives a sure grip and a more visibile
indicator of position than a stock knob.

The only MOTM compatible modules that currently use rotary switches
are Larry H's JLH-822 and 831 V-SWITCH modules. I'm designing a
SuperMoe sequencer address generator module that will use them. You
probably don't have a need for these knobs unless you have one of
these modules. Here's some pics:

That's because the proper engineering term is "chicken beak knob"!!

Oh yeah, THAT would have cleared it up for everybody <LOL>!

Moe, who never heard any poultry terms in engineering school

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
