"I have not powered on this unit. And, as a Hi-fi enthusiast, I know the
new owner will want to give it a good check up. However, I do have Hi-fi
from the 50's that still operates beautifully with its original
components."

That's hilarious.

WOW! That thing is drop-dead gorgeous. I bet the original owner died, his wife said, "Fred over
here likes old stereos, I bet he'll haul it off"! Ol' Fred peed in his panties when he looked it
up on eBay! He can get a Marantz 10B and a Sequerria-Day tuner!! (old fart stereo reference)

I'd say it's *worth* (as a collector, strictly speaking) $25,000. Not that I'd PAY that, but over
in Japan, they consider that chump change for something like this.

OK, I'm off to bed, with a load of parts in plastic bags not worth a plugged nickel :(

I find it strange that the seller seems so knowledgable on the Moog, numbers
shipped, years produced, bands that used it, etc., as if he is a life long
synth enthusiast. Yet he doesn't have the ability to turn it on and see if
it works, and then makes some child-like comment about a 50's hi-fi that
still works. It really makes me wonder who the hell these people are who
sell stuff on ebay.

www.google.com is a wonderful thing! It hits: http://moogarchives.com/ and that's where he got
the info.
