It looks like a mockup to me, but seems like a brilliant idea. The 
concept of there being no specific start/end point would probably 
make for a different approach to sequencing.

This showed up several months ago as a possible sequencer module (I 
have the GIF saved with a date of July 15, 2001). It was thoroughly 
dissed for the banana jacks and waste of panel space.
