Need a new name

Need a new name

2001-12-10 by Paul Schreiber

JH's cascaded LFO needs a name! I have room for 5 characters, 4 if 1 is the 'u' symbol (this does
not have to be a MicroModule, officially). Suggestions welcome. I like WiggleBug, too long (and
Wiard would complain).

Multi-LFO -> MLFO. You can even add the mu in front if you like.

That was what I came up with before bedtime. The 2-channel (1 is VC'd) version of mine is the
"official" uLFO".

For JH's QLFO, I'm making 2 of them sine and 2 of them triangle. Fancy!

How about:

uLFO-A

for micro LFO Array

Thomas White

PS. Anyone thinking about not buying or building any modules due to a lack
of tech support out there should be ashamed. Paul has helped me immensely
over the last week in solving over 5 module issues from scratchy
over-tightened pots to the power strip chaining tips to me ending up fixing
90% of the issues on my own with no sending modules anywhere! Great time.
This is mostly for posters on the fringe of difficult modules or the people
I know are watching but never post from other lists.

Can you elaborate a bit on the "scratchy pot" problem? I may have one
of these. Did you just loosen the nut and the problem went away?

Not sure if this module will have voltage control. If so, then:

VCW - Voltage Controlled Wiggler
VCCO - Voltage Controlled Cascade Oscillator
VCQO - Voltage Controlled Quad Oscillator
VCAO - Voltage Controlled Animation Oscillator

If no VC, then how about:

LFA - Low Freq Animator
LFW - Low Freq Wiggler
WLFO - Wiggling LFO
MOLFO - Mother Of LFOs :)

Hows about uFO -- might mean "micro freaky oscillator!"
