Last chance to test drive/update

Last chance to test drive/update

2002-02-14 by Paul Schreiber

Thursday is the last day to test drive, because at 5PM the new site is "going live". It's MOTM's
4th anniversary! Yep, it started on Valentine's day, 1998.

There is still much work to be done on the site. However, I can't afford to spend 10hr/day every
on the upgrade like I have been doing for the past week. Kris is probably sick and tired as well
(he does all the graphics and 99% of the initial HTML). There are over 100 modules (kits and
assembled) I need to ship.

On that front:

a) MOTM-910s arrived today from the assemblers
b) will ship out more '310s over the weekend
c) MOTM-300 kits will ship in about 1 week.
d) the next 2 weeks is assembled backlog concentration, with sporadic kit shipping as well
e) I have ordered over $23,000 of inventory. I shouldn't run out of anything for a while. I just
have to *pay* for it.

It's hard to believe that in 4 years, I have shipped over 300,000 individual parts (roughly). I
have used 11 MILES of solder. But my 19yr old Weller WT station is going strong (on tip #40 or
so).

Thanks to everyone staying with me over years, and hopefully I can continue 4 more years. At the
current rate, by then there will more MOTM modules shipped than Moog.

I knew you "loved" what you do! What a great anniversary date.

That Moog thing really puts it in perspective.

Congrats Paul!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Does this mean module #5000 will be painted red?? :)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!
Does this mean module #5000 will be painted red?? :)

Hmmm… That would be interesting! I bet it would look something like this!

Maybe Paul could do a contest… Kinda like finding the grey M&M thing!!! The person who receives the RED MOTM module receives $1,000,000.00…? Or better yet free Modules for life? It could be autographed by Paul so that it will become even more valuable as a collector item when Paul surpasses Moog!

Back to reality, Congratulations Paul!!!
