Good call Scott! That info wasn't there yesterday. Anybody else see this
yet?

Let's see...

MOTM-500 Voltage-Controlled Dual Pulse Divider
Ok, I can figure this out. Awesome!

MOTM-510 Voltage-Controlled WaveWarper
We've heard about this, and a teaser sound snip. Can't wait!

MOTM-520 Cloud Generator
What the !^%@$?? Is this for the dance floor? or shrouds synthesist in
spooky mist?

MOTM-530 Envelope Nest
Sounds like some kind of Monty Python candy.

MOTM-550 The Rhythm Wheel
HUH??? Alright, this is getting wacko.

Got any info on these Paul?
I have a feeling Robert Rich had some input on these. :)

George

Having just installed the 3.0 upgrade of Reaktor on my computer today, this
reminds me of the newly added Grain Cloud module in Reaktor. My guess is the
MOTM is also some kind of granular synth module. But that's only a guess.

Blah, I hate pics!

Ok, I don't "hate" 'em, but I like the AVRs a lot better.

You got that.

Between these and the Modcan Frequency Shifter, which should be ready this
summer as well, I can FORGET a vacation!

That would be my guess as well. Actually, probably better than a guess.
It'll be a digital circuit using granular synthesis.

Heh, check this out:

Dr. Aaron Wolf Baum, using real-time granular synthesis to fractalize
Pac-Man. This excerpt gives a small taste of a very complex method.: excerpt

I only know for sure one of those 500-series has PICs hiding in the
center. No idea what the others use.

Paul should call it the Sage ;)

If it does granular synthesis, perhaps Paul should call it anything but
"Cloud Generator" or the Cloud Generator folks might sue.

Is this a replacement for the VC Pulse divider that has already been
announced?? I don't remember anything about it being "dual"

820 originality??

2002-03-04 by media.nai@rcn.com

I remember posting to the the MOTM and AH mailing lists, as well as telling
a number of people, that the 820 was the first lag processor that had
separate rates for rise and fall. I honestly thought that was true, and no
one had corrected me. Yesterday, I was flipping through the manual for the
Emu modular, and it looks like its lag processor also had separate timing
for rise and fall. Is this true??

Please notice that I am not faulting the 820. I think it is an incredible
module and anyone who uses a CV synth should own one. However, I'm
thinking I should post a correction to AH. Any thoughts??

THANX!!

You bet your booty!

I can take full credit for being the original list nag when it was
time to design a lag processor. I held up the E-MU module as the
example of the most 'studly' lag processor ever previously made . So
the separate rise and fall times came from the E-MU, although the
MOTM-820 raises the bar is several other areas.
